Dynamic WT9

The Aerospool Dynamic WT9 has been manufactured in Prievidza, Slovakia since 2000 and has established itself as one of the most successful high-performance ultralight aircraft in Europe. With well over 1,000 units built, it ranks among the best-selling ULs in its performance class. The Dynamic WT9 is a full-composite low-wing aircraft using GFK/CFK sandwich construction, offering a cockpit width of 1.15 m that provides comfortable working space by ultralight standards.

Engine options include the Rotax 912 ULS (100 hp), the fuel-injected Rotax 912 iS (100 hp), the turbocharged Rotax 914 (115 hp), and the Rotax 916 iS (160 hp) for the glider-towing variant. Depending on the version, the Dynamic WT9 achieves cruise speeds between 220 and 260 km/h while consuming only 13 to 17 litres per hour. Range varies between 1,300 and 1,800 km depending on tank configuration – enabling serious cross-country flights across Europe.

On the German used market, Dynamic WT9 aircraft trade across a wide price spectrum. Older Club versions with the Rotax 912 ULS start at around EUR 45,000 to 70,000. Well-equipped Speed versions with variable-pitch propellers and modern avionics typically range from EUR 90,000 to 175,000.

The Dynamic WT9's strengths lie in its outstanding speed-to-fuel-consumption ratio, robust composite construction, and the wide variety of available configurations. Pilots also appreciate its long-range capability and forgiving handling characteristics. On the weaker side, spare parts availability directly from the factory can be limited, some used examples have shown corrosion on moving parts such as flap hinges, and the centre of gravity is sensitive when the aircraft is fully loaded.

The Dynamic WT9 is aimed at experienced touring pilots seeking a fast, efficient ultralight for long-distance flying. Compared to the Bristell, it offers a lower entry price with somewhat more conservative equipment, while the Shark UL leads in terms of absolute top speed.
